eMedia Monitor provides products and services in the market for Broadcast Monitoring and Video search and retrieval. Operations are split into three main fields:

eMediaMonitor provides services direct to key end users in addition to working with partners on both a country and vertical market basis.

eMedia Monitor is set up as a technology leader in the area of broadcast monitoring; to reinforce its position it is currently applying for two patents; one in the area of news content management and the other in the area of user-interface design.

eMedia Monitor can build on the considerable experience of its key personnel in the audio/video market in the past 7 years. This knowledge is derived from a close involvement with the market in Europe, the US, Africa and the Middle East and leading research and development in audio monitoring and video search.

Profile of Dr. Thomas Netousek, Founder and General Manager

eMedia Monitor can draw on the 7+ year experience of Dr Thomas Netousek, its founder and General Manager, in the design, set-up and operation of Broadcast News monitoring systems. Dr. Netousek has a history at Hewlett Packard, IBMs Yorktown Heights Research Centre, as founder and CEO of Sail Labs Technology AG. Sail Labs is the leading European vendor of Speech-to-Text Software for professional use, a profitable commercial company, and received the ICT Price in 2007. Dr. Netousek has proven his inventive skills with a total of 4 patents in the area of speech technology and 2 ongoing patent applications for eMedia Monitor.

Clients which have selected to work with Dr. Netousek are Media Monitoring organisations in the US and Europe. Dr. Netousek has played a key role for the success of EC IST R&D projects like CIMWOS (FP5), REVEAL THIS (FP6), DIVAS (FP7), PHAROS (FP7) and Austrian national projects like COAST (4 years, 11 Mio EUR budget).
