Software Engineer - Global Media Capture, time (f/m/d)
We are a SaaS company specializing in the global monitoring and analysis of audio and visual media. As an AI-first company, we integrate AI systems throughout our processing pipeline, from content ingestion to delivery. We are looking for a Software Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure and development of our global media capture engine. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems that record thousands of live radio and television streams from around the world, as well as relevant social media content, ensuring high availability, low latency, and exceptional capture quality.
This is a unique opportunity at the intersection of backend engineering, AI integration, DevOps, and media technology. You will oversee both cloud-based internet stream ingestion and physical media servers hosted in data centers around the world, while ensuring the performance, reliability, and quality of the AI subsystems that power our media insights.
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer dedicated to developing reliable and innovative global media capture solutions.
Join our world-class team and become part of the success story of data driven marketing and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust applications for recording and archiving live TV and radio streams, including IPTV, HLS, RTMP, and DASH.
Handle the capture, processing, and archiving of traditional media such as radio and television, as well as social media content.
Ensure high availability and operational reliability of the capture infrastructure.
Manage and optimize a fleet of dedicated Linux servers, including Ubuntu and Debian systems, in remote data centers to handle high-throughput media traffic.
Improve automated monitoring and failover systems to ensure 24/7 recording uptime.
Optimize media transcoding pipelines using tools such as FFmpeg or GStreamer to manage storage costs without sacrificing quality.
Ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of the AI subsystems embedded in the capture and processing pipeline.
Measure, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for the capture platform.
Manage continuous integration (CI/CD) processes and improve automated testing and deployment workflows.
Build and maintain a global knowledge database of radio, television, and social media stations and channels around the world.
Integrate AI models for automated content analysis, such as speech-to-text, OCR, or scene detection, to enrich captured data.
Required Qualifications:
Software Engineering: Strong foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
AI Skills: Experience integrating AI models into production workflows and ensuring the quality and performance of AI-driven subsystems.
